The “H” Words

6:17

Song Description:

Our earthly Happiness will be enhanced by building on God’s promises which, in turn,

will influence our choice of Heaven or Hell.

Lyrics:

Who can evaluate happiness?

What measure could we apply

to rank all the things that we favor,

that always elicit a smile.

Some would pick gathering money

as what matters to them the most.

Others are prone to crave power,

and openly choose to boast.

    Everyone wants to have happiness,

hoping our lives can be filled.

     God is the ultimate answer.

On his promises we can build.

There will be those who have moments,

like climbing the highest of peaks,

they’d count  these as crowning achievements.

Such glory’d be all they would seek.

Property might be attractive,

though Boardwalk makes Baltic look tame.

By holding great numbers of assets

their owner thinks he’ll win the game.

For many the answer is music,

like listening to Ira play sax.

It brings us right into the moment,

and helps get our minds to relax.

But think of the the real satisfaction,

and happiness Christians have known,

when kindnesses shared with the needy

have proven how grace can be shown.

     Everyone wants to have happiness,

hoping our lives can be filled.

     God is the ultimate answer.

On his promises we can build.

We all should want thoughts that direct us

to emulate God and expect

to be living with Him as forever favorites.

God’s children, whom he’ll resurrect.

This earthly dimension will test us,

but the words of the Bible foretell

that our eternal happiness hinges on Jesus.

Our options are Heaven or Hell.

Yes our earthly pursuits will affect

      where we’re headed.

Our options are Heaven or Hell.

Amen.!!!…..Amen.!!!
