Speak From The Heart
Food For Thought 6:00Song Description:
A reminder to Christians to remember how non-believers view us, and our
responsibility to utilize heartfelt communication in all we do.
———————————————————————————————-
Lyrics:
What is it about us Christians
that non-believers reject?
When we ignore their objections
our worldviews just don’t connect.
One thing that atheists mention,
they see us there in plain sight,
hypocrites breaking commandments.
We have to admit when they’re right.
Speak from the heart
open and sincere.
Communication must be civil
to make the Gospel clear.
We Christians know we’re not perfect,
for unlike Christ we still sin.
Stumbling should keep us humble.
So pray for forgiveness to Him.
If this bad attitude’s present
resented by all we see
that “holier-than-thou” impression,
replace it with humility.
Speak from the heart
open and sincere.
Communication must be civil
to make the Gospel clear.
The world is the Devil’s domain.
Temptations lure every day.
We must remember that Jesus
is the Truth, the Light, and the Way.
Speak from the heart…..
Another critique that is made
about a trait we may show.
Judgements we make in haste
of someone we don’t even know.
We pray for the faith and courage
to tell all those who don’t know
our earthly choices prepare us,
determining which way we’ll go.
Speak from the heart
open and sincere.
Communication must be civil
to make the Gospel clear.
Speak from the heart
open and sincere.
Communication must be civil
to make the Gospel clear.
