Planning
Single 8:29Song Description:
Not only do our natural surroundings remind us of the presence of God,
they also demonstrate that events can change relatively suddenly.
That should give us even more reason to plan for where we’re headed
in the afterlife, while we still have the chance.
Lyrics:
If the sunrise isn’t cloudy doesn’t mean that it won’t rain.
In Montana things can change so fast I’ve heard the true refrain,
“If you just wait fifteen minutes, you may recognize,
see a quickly-forming storm front in the Treasure State’s big sky”.
We see God’s face in nature and the beauty of our state.
It reminds us that his handiwork is nothing less than great.
Why shouldn’t we look forward to his place beyond the sky.
He sent Jesus to redeem us to welcome you and I, to welcome you and I.
If you place your faith in Christ, which I highly recommend,
you’ve prepared for life in Heaven, when your time on earth will end.
On the other hand, if you’re not sure that there’s a God above,
you’ll be missing all his blessings, an eternity of love.
Our life on earth may not reflect what’s planned for way up high.
For some the time may drag, but for others it may fly.
Either way each passing day has four and twenty hours,
some of which are needed to appreciate His powers, appreciate His powers.
If we’re lucky we may have perhaps as much as eighty years”,
to understand the offering that was purchased with His tears,
and the blood He shed upon the cross, that wasn’t done in vain.
By accepting Jesus as our Lord, we have so much to gain, Well done my son.
If you place your faith in Christ, which I highly recommend,
you’ve prepared for life in Heaven, when your time on earth will end.
On the other hand, if you’re not sure that there’s a God above
you’ll be missing all his blessings, an eternity of love.
Lives can end quite quickly, nothing ominous or frightening.
We might miss the thunder that accompanies the lightning.
Thus it makes good sense to talk to God and ask him for his grace,
so we’ll know that we are headed for sweet bliss in Heaven’s place.
Shakespeare once reminded us that, “All the world’s a stage”,
but as players we have options to avoid the critics’ rage.
If we place our faith in God, and ask forgiveness for our sins,
when the final act is written, our eternity’s with Him.
Most of us devote some time to making future plans.
As part of that it really makes sense that we should know
when the curtain falls while we’re on stage we really won’t have time
to think about the afterlife, the encore where we’ll go… where we’ll go…
Allelujah! Allelujah!…………………………. Amen!
