In Spite Of Our Sin

6:45

Song Description:

God’s plan was to forgive us from the very beginning.

Lyrics:

Why are you running?

What danger is near?

Where are you going?

Whom do you fear?

Is there some reason,

or something to dread?

Why is that guilt

running loose in your head?

Did you ignore him?

What rule did you break?

All was perfection.

Along came the snake.

In the beginning of mankind’s pursuits

choices we made soon encumbered our story.

God held no grudges, but discipline used

was designed to refine us, to share in his glory.

Why were you tempted?

What need did you feel?

The low-hanging fruit

must have had some appeal.

Sharing the sin with

an unthinking mate,

unleashed the Devil,

and thus sealed your fate.

Fig leaves were tell-tales

that something was new.

Adam and Eve were

not thinking things through.

Big consequences

developed from there.

Thus started the story

our Bible does share.

Ominous warnings

have come to our ears.

But blessings are offered,

If God we will fear.

In the beginning of mankind’s pursuits

choices we made soon encumbered our story.

God held no grudges, but discipline used

was designed to refine us to share in his glory.

There’s no expense to

partake of his grace.

If Christ we accept,

God will share heaven’s space.

So give him a chance.

Let Him speak to your heart.

The ending is glorious.

If you are smart.

The ending is glorious if you are smart.

In the beginning, a long time ago

Adam and Eve were in charge of the show.

Even though things… didn’t turn out for them

we’ve all been forgiven in spite of our sin.

God planned to forgive us in spite of our sin.

Yes God will forgive us, so give thanks to Him.

   Allelujah……Allelujah……Allelujah……Amen…..Amen……
