Baad News

4:38

Song Description:

Government propaganda is produced and disseminated to a compliant unquestioning

media, a body that literally parrots and regurgitates the mandated Government

talking points to a mostly apathetic and ill-informed populace. George Orwell

predicted the current state of our “truth speak” media almost a century ago,

and imagined the “one song sheet” dictates from above in “Animal Farm”, and an

all-seeing oversight of what you are allowed to say in the novel “1984”.

When the citizenry of any society are treated like sheep and are fed a steady diet

of biased propaganda, the media becomes a complicit distributor of misinformation.

Media self-censorship of any and all opposing views to government-mandated

talking points and “their” truths create the self destruction of a free society. Could

the U.S.A. be fast approaching Orwell’s worst nightmare?

Open your eyes, and become aware of what is going on by looking outside of the

Government talking points being repeated by a corrupt and heavily biased media.

Lyrics:

Repeating something to the press ten times won’t make it true.

But some reporters won’t invest the time to think stuff through.

They’ve got a deadline and their paycheck’s linked to how their view

will draw the crowds to check them out no matter what they do.

Just fall in line, don’t ask those questions they will just ignore.

A superficial answer you might get will be so poor.

It sounds familiar then you realize ‘twas said before,

If you persist in asking that you’ll just get shown the door.

This really is no different than it’s ever been before.

When Gutenberg designed the printing press it just insured

that news would travel faster but not always be too pure.

In fact the crap that passed for facts would just remain manure.

Just fall in line, don’t ask those questions they will just ignore.

A superficial answer you might get will be so poor.

It sounds familiar then you realize ‘twas said before.

If you persist in asking that you’ll just get shown the door.

The gist of what I’m trying to say’s not really all that deep

It’s easy to make up the news, some journalists come cheap.

If truth be told they’d be quite lost to effort that was steep.

So filter what you read and don’t become a mindless sheep.

Baaaad news!  Baaaad! That’s what we’re bein’ fed.

Discover something rotten and they’ll take you to the shed.

Be careful what you do and say, just keep things in your head,

Or you might land in prison, even worse just wind up dead.

Baaad news! Baaad!! They want us to be sheepish!

Baaad, Baaad news! Their funding is elitist!

Baaad news! Baad! They look to make us sheepish!

Baaad, Baaad news! Their funding Is elitist!

Baaad, Baaad news! They think that they can cheat us!

Baad news! Baad! Their evil  plans won’t beat us!

— Napoleon, do you get the feeling that we’re living on an animal farm?
